Obituary of Laverne D Williams

Laverne Denise Williams was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Fred and Betty Williams on March 5, 1963. She was the second oldest of three children. She received her education in the St. Louis Public School System. Laverne confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Solomon Wilson. Laverne spent her time as a caretaker for her Grandfather, Father, and later her Mother who all preceded her in death. She loved cleaning, sewing, and decorating her home while listening to gospel music. Laverne was very passionate about her music and entertaining; every time you seen her, she would have a new speaker system and was always excited to show how loud the volume could be. She was known for her unique fashions and her stylish heels. She would often express how excited she was about becoming a Grandmother for the first time to her beautiful Granddaughter, Sylvia Denise Hill. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who loved her family abundantly. Laverne departed from this life and joined her Mother, Father, and Grandfather on Friday December 24, 2021 to receive an early gift of New Life, that can only be given by God. Laverne leaves to cherish her loving memories, two children, Ebonee Harris and Sylvester Hill III (Tray) of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Jerome Ornell Bartee (Irma) of Houston, TX.; sister, Joyce Williams of St. Louis, Mo; niece, Shenika Bartee Echols (Dennis); two nephews, Jerome Jr. and Simeon Bartee; five great nieces, including a special niece, Maddie, who she referred to as TT girl; four great nephews, a host of uncles, aunts, a special cousin, Carlette Williams, and her Grand-Dog, Bentley.
