Montez Marquis Thomas, affectionately called, Tez, Marlo, Monte’, and Squeaky, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, January 13, 1994, to Sharee Thomas and Carl Coleman. Montez was preceded in death by Grandfather, Charles Thomas Sr. and uncle, Jershawn Martin. After attending several charter schools through SLPS, Montez finished high school at Riverview Gardens High School, but also obtained his GED. Despite Montez’s artistic abilities in illustrations and portraits, he leaned more towards entrepreneurship. He had hopes of pursuing a trade since he worked well with his hands and aspired to own his own company. Although laid back in demeanor, Montez had an undeniable presence whenever he entered a room. He was respectful and respected, charming yet humble, giving but spoiled. He had the ability to make you smile and laugh even when you didn’t want to. His energy was unmatched. His loyalty unwavering, and his love for family and friends unbreakable. What an honor it has been to have known him and loved him, and in return be loved by him. He loved hard, and always made sure that we knew and felt it. Montez leaves behind the broken hearts of his mother, Sharee Thomas; father, Carl Coleman Sr.; brothers, Carl Coleman Jr., Donell Coleman, and Mantez Barnes; sister, Keyosha Hollins; Grandmothers, Beverly Thomas, Kim Thomas Finger (Lawrence Finger), and Carolyn Coleman; Aunt, Kaila Massey (Myron Massey); uncles, Charles Thomas Jr. and Timothy Boykins; niece, Kamori Beckett; close cousins, Shewan Martin, Diego Jones, Amir Harris, and an abundance of additional loving family members and special friends.
