King Pollard was born on May 7, 1939, in Greenwood, Mississippi to Ms. Mary Rucker. King was educated in the Mississippi School District. He worked numerous jobs in Mississippi. King enjoyed fishing, watching cowboy movies, CNN News, and he enjoyed playing with the grandchildren. He loved taking them to the park to play kickball, then stopping at McDonalds on the way home to buy ice cream for everyone. King was very generous, caring, and wanted everyone to get along. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He later met the love of his life, Ms. Clara Pollard, the two became one in holy matrimony in 1958. Their union brought four beautiful children to this world Reginald (deceased), Tina, Keith (deceased), and LaShanda. King was preceded in death by his mother, Mary M. Rucker; sisters and brothers, Marvin Roberson, Johnny Lee Pollard, John A. Pollard, Norma Jean Gammon, Mary A. Scott, Roxie Pollard, Goldie B. On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Green Park Nursing Facility with the presence of his loving daughter Tina, he surrendered to the masters call and received his wings and everlasting life with his Heavenly Father.
